I decided today I would take the old Explorer 2 out today and give her try.
I went over about a 40' x 40' area that I have pounded with multiple machines.
My thinking was that I had pretty much dug every signal and cleaned out all the
trash and I would come in with the big guns and try to hunt those deep faint
signals and it paid off. I did notice that almost every signal showed around 10" on the Explorer and only a few would pinpoint. I decided I would dig big plugs and work the signal with the sunray x-1 and it paid off. 18 old coins in all, 15 wheats, 1-1962 Quarter, 1-1946 dime, 1-1936 Buffalo and some clad. I dug one wheat at 14" WOW I could not believe it and I had my brother witness it. Blew our minds. It was one of those signals that was just barely there and so narrow I could only get it to repeat from one direction, when I hit pinpoint nothing. I almost give up on it thinking theres no way it could be this deep but the sunray x-1 said it was there so I kept digging. I'll admit I started thinking it must be an old can or something. I'm rambling so I'll hush and post the pic.
