✅ SOLVED Old earring?

Still fairly new to detecting so I apologize if this is something I should know. I found this today at an old 1800’s homesite. It was mixed in a hole with some nails and was giving a nice signal among the other tones. Very thin and the top piece is hinged with a hole through it. Never seen anything like this but it looks like it could be an earring to me. Thoughts?

I think it's to big for an earring.
It could be a pendant
