Old cup?

I found this cup (I think) at the CW skirmish site I'm detecting. I haven't found anything yet CW related. I thought this was just trash and today I was going through my trash bag and decided to clean a couple things. When I noticed these designs. Could it be a cup or what? Sorry for the poor pictures. Thanks

Thanks, not any markings that I can tell at the moment. I'm soaking it in some soapy water now, maybe something will come up when it gets a little cleaner.

Most powder flasks have a spark proof stopper rather than a cap don't they? Might be a small drinking cup for a booze flask, depending on the size, but I can't say for sure. MOnty

It looks aluminum to me. If it is, it wouldn't spark from contact, not including static electricity of course.

I wouldn't think it was meant for a powder flask, at any rate.

I'm still thinking a cup of some sort as well. I like your idea Monty of a small booze cup for a flask. It's small enough for a flask to sit right in it. I'm pretty sure it' aluminum also.
