Went to old home site for 3 hours. I got a little detecting in. A friend of mine stopped by for a while, he planning a trip for him, my wife an I to go Meteorite hunting, some gold hunting and UFO watching. So we stood there and chatted for a while. He left and I got back to business for a while when the owners wife was riding her 4 wheeler down the side of the road picking up cans and trash, I went over to the fence and talked to her for a while, told her some of the stuff I have found there. She left and I just got back to hunting a few minutes when her husband came up over the hill on his 4 wheeler and stopped and we talked about the house that use to be there when he was a kid back in the 40's. After he left I got in a little more detecting before it started getting dark. I found a few interesting things.
This picture shows a small metal cup that got flattened, it has what looks like M WULLSTIEN MERCANTILE CO. - KANSAS CITY MO. The Jar lid on top says on one side: THE PRE STO JAR AND, on the other side says CLOSURE ARE APPROVED BY, under one of the round spots it has a star with this wrote through it: Tested and Approved by the Good Housekeeping Institute - SERIAL NO. 2285 - Conducted by Good Housekeeping Magazine. The other side of that says DELINEATOR - HOME (something not readable) - ENDORSES. Looks like it's aluminum.
This picutes shows a rifle shell that has: R P - 270 WIN. A small casing. A green snap stud. Piece of pottery. Couple of odd pieces of metal.
Thanks for looking.
