Found in park- any ideas on gently cleaning ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1500847749.180201.jpg

Maybe get your fingers moist and rub it with baking soda?

I used lemon juice on a toasted copper I found. Soaked for about 15 seconds and then rinsed with tap water. Took several tries but was finally able to read the writing. Would not recommend if one thinks that it is a valuable coin. If so I would send it to a professional.

Did you try a magnet to check if was actually non-ferrous? Been fooled by the electric box knockouts before.

don't have calipers but about as big as a Morgan dollar and magnet does not attract ... definite bronze or copper

It seems to me to have two spots where a fastener likely attached for a pin of sorts. Can we se the other side?

Don't think it's a coin... maybe a bridal rosette based on those two marks on it.
