Agree with taz420, I dig colonial sites & that type spoon never shows up on them.So 1800's onward..............I'll give you all the spoon sites I have & they all say the same.................Fiddle back early 1800's & up.............
I believe that it would have originally been silver plated with the "Old Sheffield" plating common in the timeframe mentioned. It didn't weather terribly well even inside, and thus has all come off.
