I’ve had this machine for many years but never found what year it was created. Any ideas? What model? Every vending machine I have ever came across had an ID plate with model number and other information. Typically these are on or near main access panels. You have two ID plates easily visible in the photo collage posted. Does the information on these plates show any information for the machine as a whole, or do they indenify the subsystem they are attached to?

As to the age, it appears to be ‘70s vintage. Not particularly old. Not in high demand by collectors. I scrapped out about two dozen similar machines a few years ago for a small vending company that had been salvaging parts off them for years.

Time for more coffee.

I worked at a place that had that exact machine. I'm the one who had to keep it filled. That was 1975. Gary

In the mid-sixties, my grade school had a pop machine that took bottles. When no one was around, "Some" kids would take a bottle opener, pop the crown cap off the bottle while still in the machine, and hold a cup under the neck. Almost half the pop would come out.

A couple ideas...

1) According to Google, Diet Coke was released in 1982, Mellow Yellow in 1967.

2) Are there any electronics on this thing at all?
I'm asking because many electronic parts are stamped with their year of manufacture.
Same with motor nameplates.

3) One last idea: I've seen lots of labels / decals that have a revision date somewhere in the bottom corner, like "4/77" which could mean April 1977.
Just a thought...

Good luck!!
