So today I went to an old civil war fort park.. I didn't get to stay long due to rain.. finally a day when it's not 30 degrees outside it rains! But I found some interesting things. One thing is a nail.. maybe a horseshoe nail? Not sure. Also an 80s/90s pepsicola bottle cap advertising mario with a santa hat.. pretty cool! Not sure what the bent up gold thing is.. pretty sure it's not gold though.

Apparently The Confederates sent a force of a thousand men across the river and attacked it.
Only 30-45min spent there today I know I'm going to find some amazing things at this park.. Can't wait to give some updates!
Also, here is the 1980s/90s mario commercial showing the sweepstakes.. just shows the cans but it's all I could find.

Oh, I forgot to mention, my first pull tabs! :)

also the metal rod.. looks like an old cellphone antenna? lol

Congrats on getting out and MD'ing, get used to the pull tabs there will be many, many more, they just seem to multiply! But with them comes the good stuff as in gold! HH!

Thanks! I have to admit the soil there was sooo much cleaner.. not very mineralized at all. At my house I dig up a bunch of rocks and aluminum foil :BangHead:
Yet with my new spot I have found my two rarest items in a matter of half an hour vs hours of mding at my house!

that cap is cool...but then again..I am a retro kids-snacks buff.....

I found it 5 minutes after I got there! I was pretty amazed when I got home how rare it was and when they made them.. I can't wait to go back to the fort I will show you guys if I find anything else!
I can't believe I've been missing out on this amazing hobby for so long..
