An interesting find today. It's not a total mystery as i have a good idea what it is but would really like to know if i'm right and if so what is it off of?

It came out of the ground all wadded up but made of stamped sheet copper. Strongly suspect that it was gilded or very lightly chromed once upon a time. I am thinking it's the trunk key hole trim cover from a very old Chevrolet. Any ideas out there ? 005.webp

It’s hard to tell what you have because the image is so blurry but it looks like a 1928 Chevy radiator emblem but again without a better photo it’s hard to say for sure. The second photo is what a “28” emblem looks like with the porcelain bow tie missing. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1588132184.580804.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1588132317.219215.webp
