If I have read some info right boynton was a relative of mrs garfield

Dr.Schneider was born near Hamilton, Canada, on November 1, 1839. At 18, he came to the US, and entered Baldwin University at Berea, Ohio. He graduated from the Cleveland Homeopathic Hospital College in March,1864. He worked with other doctors for about ten years and in 1874, after returning from Europe, where he continued his studies, he entered into partnership with Dr. S.A. Boynton, with whom he continued until 1878.

Of particular interest to me is that he was the physician of President and Mrs. Garfield.
