VOC is the mark of ownership of the Dutch East India Company--Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie. Founded in 1602, wound up by 1800.

However you do also find it copied on items made in the east, as part of the decoration.

Id's are good here but, there is a forrum for whats it worth? somewhere on tnets site. As far as your iron goes I'm not sure but, cool looking. I am assuming that is not a dug relic?

Replica for decorative reasons. I could be wrong, but that is what it appears to be to me.

this is not dug relic. i think this around 300 years old, but the keris mark is new. the body of this iron totally genuine. i wanna sell it... anyone interested? please email me at [email protected].
the owner bought this from Sukarno family (former prasiden of indonesia).
