The black button is made of wood and has a carved picture of a cabin stream and a bridge its really ornate.

left-to-right:
Brass 3-piece City Police button, being a Nickel-plated one means it is from the 1880s to early-20th-Century.
Unknown.
Brass 3-piece button with an unknown organization's 3-letter logo -- when this type has an extra-wide applied rim, it dates from the 1870s to (much) later.
European army enlisted-man's "Regiment-number" button, early 20th-Century, probably German/Austro-Hungarian (definitely not American or British). To see nearly-identical ones, including the period/dot next to the number, identified as German WW1 buttons, go to this webpage and scroll down: http://timemachine13.com/german_buttons_and_hardware/more_german_buttons_.htm
