Old buttons that I found. Any idea when they were made?

so I came upon these two buttons recently in the same place. One is kinda torn since it was found in a pile of ruins of a burned down building and the other was on top of the soil in great condition. The tarnished one from what I have seen is from early 1850? or ww1? The place that I had found both of these is from ww2 and was shutdown early 1970. I apologize that the pics may not be clear but on the badly damaged button on the back it says, SCOVILL MF'G CO. WATERBURY
On the other button it says on the back clearly WATERBURY BUTTON CO. Any ideas? 20131112_210850.jpg20131112_210626.jpg20131112_210414.jpg

The second is also a great seal button ww2. Waterbury is for Waterbury Connecticut. They made a lot of buttons there

So the one that was badly damaged is still from ww2? Thats the one I think I am more confused about because on the front I can see parts of an eagle on it similar image to the other one.

They look the same to me. Both great seal buttons

So even though one says scovill MF'G and the other doesn't. The scovill one is from ww2 as well?
