Old Button

Could anybody possibly identify what sort of age this might be? It looks to be an old button and is 1 inch in diameter.

Further to this, does anyone have any information regarding this buckle I found? It also looks old and is about 1 and a half inch long and 1 inch wide.

Russ, the buckle is a breeching dee , not really a buckle, but rather a harness/saddle fitting. The button probably a dandy button, it might have had a design on it once....hard to tell really as it's well gone.
