Old Button Identification Help

I recently found this button at an early 1900s household. I was curious to find any information on it, but I couldn?t seem to find anything online. It?s slightly smaller than a quarter, and possibly gold plated? If anyone knows the date of the button, or possibly the article of clothing the button went to, it would be greatly appreciated. There?s a small square on the backside of the button with ?11? printed inside (not positive because it?s really small). Any information helps! Thanks so much.

To me it looks like a stud to overalls, or possibly the closing piece to a handbag.
