✅ SOLVED Old bullet found please help

This is another old looking bullet I found out in the woods. Looks like a .22 but I could be wrong. It appears to be old can anyone help me identify this guy. I found it in the woods in an old town in jersey. It has a U on the bottom of the casing and the lead part has 2 rings on it.

Yep it's a dropped .22 shell, you'll find a lit of those as time goes on.

"U" is used by Remington from the old "Union" Cartridge Company of Bridgewater, CT (absorbed by Remington)

Yes, .22 long rifle cartridge. The U head stamp stands for Remington Cartridge Company. In 1912 Remington and Union Metallic Cartridge merged, and I think the U head stamp dates back to that time, and has been used until now, at least I think so, I haven't looked it up, just old worn out memory.
