Old buckles??

I was wondering if any one could give a close age on these buckles they are 1 1/4 inches to 1 1/2 inches across, I guess folks belts werent so stressed back then

Just guessing but the one on the left appears to be an old brooch and the one on the right might be an old shoe buckle.

Yeap the one on the left used to have small glass stones in the holes to look like diamonds. Its a brooch.

I agree with MJim, left looks like a sash buckle...most probably pewter, I'm sure. I've found similar buckles on sites dating early to mid 1700's. That is a good spot.
