I hunted an old east Texas home site today the house is long gone and can't really tell where it actually sat the owner told me he thought it was built in 1895 but wasn't sure where it sat or how long it had been gone. I did find one neat looking belt buckle
It has Giant Girl on the back along with Silver Front, Gold Inlay, Pat 12-13-21. Has any one seen one of these, I couldn't find any info on it on the net.

Hey, Eddy—

"Giant Grip" was one of the brand names used by Samuel Buchsbaum & Co. of Chicago, according to the The Keystone Jewelry Trade Mark Book , 1934 edition. Their trademark, a sunburst "B," also appears on the buckle.

Eddy - Nice buckle and I'm glad it is not 'Giant Girl' - does not paint a pretty picture.

PBK - You amaze me with the IDing by the way how many reference books do you own and how long did it take you to build that library?

Thanks for all the comments and info on and ID for the buckle, nice work guys
thanks again

That's a pretty buckle! It looks like there's a spot where folks could have their initial engraved.

I keep wondering what an engraving machine from that era looked like and how common it was to have items engraved.

Nice find!

Not too many. Never counted 'em, but somewhere around 300-350, I guess... so far!

Nice find.

I've yet to mention how awesome PBK is in research.

PBK is awesome.
