Did you just buy that off of Ebay?

Yes, was a bit of an impulse buy as i purchased another couple of items from the same seller, and the combined shipping made it worth a shot imo.
Was listed as a 1930s car mascot, but i wasnt sure if thats what it is.

Cheers

ahh .. I ran across that while searching for some info on it. Ruby Lane has one, too, but they don't know what it was used for. Google just doesn't seem to have much to offer on that one.

I will probably build a little wooden mount, or find a cool old radiator cap and turn it into a mantle display.
I think he is cute and a little evil looking at the same time.

Dunno.
But if you are into craft brewing, the little guy might make for an awesome beer tap?

Well, they did make a few hood ornaments as mentioned here- https://books.google.com/books?id=Q...AEwDQ#v=onepage&q="metal kewpie" doll&f=false
in the "Cycle and Automobile Trade Journal, Volume 19, Chilton Company, 1914:"
Gus Balzer Company, 1777 Broadway, New York City, is placing on the market a metal “Kewpie Doll” as a radiator cap ornament to sell between $2 and $2.50.
