Found this at a ghost town near 1900s I almost didn't see it lying in the fine dirt of my pouch when I brought it home. I had forgotten I ever found it cause I was having a good day with the coins. I can't seem to even have a good idea of what it was. Tops says- G E S Bottom is worn out in some places-G E _ _ M?

Ges Gesch, abbreviated from Gesetzlich Geschutz, can be found on a variety of old German stuff, it essentially is like saying patented (I'm sure there's a difference, but you get the idea).

Cool thanks for the help, too bad we will never find out what it went to because they don't use patent dates haha.
