These are widely recognized as plant hooks.

But the old guys here (most of us) know they are "one-time-use" thermometers. To check to see how cold it is. Yours, apparently, have already been used. :laughing7:

could they be cast iron? i have seen barrel full of monkeys game with them in it..
anyone remember the game or am i that old???

Already threw them up on the bay for sale...and I was thinking ancient Chinese artifacts. Maybe next time.
