I found this old bottle opener today that is of a boy taking a pee. On the bottom it says " l'ANCO ", dont know anything about this bottle opener but thought it was a neat find. The logging camp operated from the 1930's till the 1950's. Thanks for looking.
Just a few moments ago I tried a magnet on this bottle opener and it did not stick to it. Originally i thought that it was made of cast iron but a magnet would stick to that so now im not sure what type of metal it can be? Would anyone have any idea what kind of metal it can be by looking at the picture and by the way it tarished from being in the ground for probabley 50 some odd years? I dont think it is copper, could it be silver?
Thanks Gypsy Witch for giving me the contact information for the company l'ANCO. I emailed the company and asked if they knew anything about his bottle opener and they sure did. The company told me that these bottle openers were produced as give aways to their customers back in the 1940's. l'ANCO produced fittings used for timber harvesting starting in the forties.
