Old Blacksmith shop

Hello everybody, I am new to this forum but I have been Metal detecting for over four years. I Metal Detected an old blacksmith shop site about a year ago and found an interesting metal plate on the top of a cement block. The plate is stuck to the cement block and it has the number two on it. Anybody have any ideas?

I'm not sure if it is cast iron or not and there was no other pieces of it laying around.
