This bell belongs to a friend ( Phil ) He found it 7 years ago in an old barn, located in Colonial Heights Virginia. The barn was near where General Lee had his headquarters. He said it was laying on the dirt floor, partly covered in dirt. The bell is about is about 6'' tall. Has some pictures of birds carved on it. There is a beautifil shord on top. It has the woeds + St MARCVS + + St JOHANNES + and HEVS with a few other letters I can't make out. Thanks for any help with information on this.

Thanks, There is some good information there. I'm going to take that, and expand it some, and see if I can come up with a picture of the bell I posted here.
I do think this is in the area of the bell. If anyone else has anything else to add, please do.
Thanks again, for the info.
