The old omaha bank was held up back in the 20s or 30s from what i hear from my old man, his dad was part of the possie who went looking for the folks who held up the bank.. the story go's that the money was never found and that the outlaws cut threw my old pappy's place in an old creem bottom near white oak creek, well he claims he found a tree that had money carved into the base of the tree, and he allways thought that some where near was that old money.. well the tree is not there anymore but i know from what my dad tales me the place where my pappy was talking about, only problem is that the property is not ours anymore and u would have to slip over there to look, no one can c u from the road it's out in the country... its type 2 government land so aslong as you are nout out there with a gun no one would think ur hunting..I just wander if i could realy find the money, back then it was most likely to be silver dollars, so they should be there..I need some body to help me look around that duzz not care about sliping on out there...

Sounds like the Newton gang story, they were out drinking one night and buried a suitcase of cash along a highway somewere and forgot the location...chances are its still there. I would guess the money is paper money if its a 1920's or 30's heist. I doubt they would want to carry pounds of silver dollars when they could grab 20 dollar bills. But chances are whatever they buried it in had some metal components so i'd detect all around the site.

Haha ya I know its not them I meant the story sounded similiar. The last Newton alive admitted to burying and forgetting the location of the money on Johnny Carson right before his death. He sounded sincere about it.
