My uncle used to tell me about an old bank robbery that took place in Paris Illinois. The robbers were chased to a farm and captured. The money was never recovered and was thought to be stashed somewhere on that farm. The folks that owned the farm were known for taking nice trips and vacations after that. It wasn't know if the stash was found and funded the vacations or not. This bank heist probably would have taken place between 1900 and surely prior to 1960. It would probably be fairly easy to search the old newspapers for information on the heist and possibly the location where the perps were captured.
