Hunting the woods provided a few interesting keepers...

Silver cufflink...

What I think is 2nd Lieutenant rank insignia (WWI). Looks like a pin/latch setup, but looks like he may have sewn it to his uniform. It was gold colored or plated at one time. Can anyone confirm the ID?

Another small eagle button...

A collar disk "nut"...the wing-nut type item may be for another type of insignia (both are threaded)...

After bashing trees for quite a while, I was pretty beat so I decided to hit Picnic Loop (which has been pounded mercilessly). I discriminated everything up to dimes and started swinging. Screwcaps come up right below dimes and I didn't want to deal with them. First 5 minutes produced a 59' rosie at about an inch. A short while later I got another dime signal and brushed the leaves away with my foot. The signal moved with the leaves so I thought it was modern, but it was a 64' rosie on the surface...nice and clean...

Parks produced a little silver...broken pendant...

A nice little religious pendant...I almost didn't dig it because it rang up in the zincoln range, but the DC Phase was low for a zincoln, so I dug...

Park totals (silver hoop earring too)...

The E-Trac is really great to use...they put together a fantastic machine. Although I still use the DFX for modern parks and sports fields (for speed and resolution) I use the E-Trac for everything else (meaning old and/or deep and/or trashy). Although I'm still working on it, the see-through mode (high trash) seems to work to some degree...might be how it found those dimes.

Sounds/beep/looks like an awesome hunt!!!!

A good site and a good machine makes for a wonderful day

TBGO,
nice group of finds.

2nd Lt/Ensign bar would be pre 1960
with that pin/latch setup; 60's they were using
posts. So I would place it sometimes from the
start of time up to the 60's ::)

Thanks for posting.

have a good un............
