I just started working a new permission on a site in Savannah recently and found some kind of token that I'm not sure of the age or what its for? The site is supposed to go back to colonial times according to some of the neighbors. Here are some pictures of some of the items that I have dug so far. Can anyone ID the token?

You have a very nice collection of relics.
I don't see anything on the back just the J L 5cents on the front.
So I would say it is a merchant token.
Seeing if you can find any merchants in the area with those initials would be your best bet.
Really hard to pin down those.

Great finds... Keep hunting that spot.
