Thanks Tejaas....That buck has been her best one by far! Here's a picture of him right after she shot him in 2009

I wish we had wheat fields here in eastern Oklahoma like they do out west! Or even milo(sorghum) fields. But we do a lot of supplementing and that helps :) . These deer love those yeller acorns....LOL.
Thanks TnMtns!

Omg did you know there are dead deer parts in your TREE?!!!! Nice mounts.

Congrats to the huntress, and her proud father....there's a need for more of you in this day and age......Gary

Man that girl is a true killer diller, way to go I know a lot of grown men that have not taken deer like that.:icon_thumleft:

Yesterday, while I waiting to pick up my wife at the dentists, I saw a buck and 2 does cross the street and jump the front fence of a residence. And Monday, while at the same dentist, I was sitting in a chair looking out the back window and a flock of 8 turkeys flew into the rear yard....

Its a great world when you can experience nature surrounding us...

Your daughter would be right at home in the Redwoods...

Wow....... some awesome racks right there. Just double checked the rifles this morning. Our rifle season opens this Sat. I also have a 19 year old and sure got the pot stirring by posting a pic of a doe she took with a muzzleloader in "Today's Finds". Some of our more liberal members got their drawers in a knot over it, but it soon settled down. I was out of commission for a few years after a bad bike wreck but finally got a doctor to fix me up. Unfortunately it cost me a few precious years of hunting with her. I got a 12 that scored 146 last year which is a good deer for Tennessee. Actually I have had a couple of good years. I manage a gun range her as a part time job and she loves to help but hasn't been as gun-ho about deer hunting till this year. She got started in archery and it really lit a fire. She has taken several, but never a really good buck. This year I didn't even muzzleload myself as I am making it my mission to assist her in harvesting a really good one. I allowed her to take a smaller buck when she first started at age 12, but since I have made her hold off and only take does till she gets a good mature buck. Hoping this is the year. That young lady of yours rocks ......... she has it down to a fine art at a truly young age. Congrats to you both.:icon_thumleft:

Thanks TNGUNS.....I saw your post about your daughters doe :) , please tell her congrats from me! It seems as though hunting can offend people faster than just about anything. I am glad we now have a section of TNet that allows us to share pictures without retribution.
Our gun season starts Saturday too......my daughter and husband have been talking trash to each other for the last 2 weeks, about who's gonna kill the first buck or the biggest. They were just talking about how they needed me to fix them a big 'opening morning' breakfast so they'll have plenty of energy to go do some walking in the deer woods. LOL
Couple more pictures--this was her 2011 buck:
We got pictures of him while we were out scouting, 3 months before deer season, how cool is that?

Charmin,
I missed a hoss last year that had a dog on his heels. First miss in many years. Found him again this year I think. As bad as I hate to admit it I didn't get the cameras out this year as the family has had some health issues but pretty sure it is him again. Sure going to try to get her on him. The farm I killed the 12 on also has another hoss on it from the sign. That gives her at least 2 good mature bucks to hunt, so sure hoping she connects on one of them. Best of luck to all this weekend.
