The weather was in the 70's today and the OMPA has a tendency to not flood the dam for a few days during holidays. so I knew that the water would be low and I could search a few spots that are normally to deep. These are few and far between and take lots of homework to learn where to be able to walk straight to and find points in a matter of hours. I got lucky and found what I think might be a paleo pelican point... please give your opinion if you feel otherwise.

I found this searching 1-2 feet of a channel, the water was very choppy and I could not really see the bottom, I used my "picker-upper-stick" to just lift any and everything "red" that I could make out from the bottom of the channel. after hundreds of red rocks, finally this beauty showed up. I had no idea that it was a point when I plucked it from the water, compared to the many other red rocks I had already picked up.

This was my heartbreaker, I have found many broken points "usually about 1 inch long" with this same design. I have been craving to find a full point that has this long slender design. eventually I will find one intact. I wish I could know which type these heartbreakers really are.. I have found about 5 broken ones so far, but this was far by the longest. and was just sitting in a deep channel.

Nice finds, I can't help with ID'ing but the bottom one may or may not be broken. Alot of these peices are mistaken as broken points when in fact they are knives/blades.

too bad it is definitely broken, it's a clean break just as it starts to thicken. I wish I could be as optimistic as you but it has a clean break.
