I had a hernia surgery last week and went to the Dr. today, he gave me the go ahead to do anything but lift over 20 pounds, so the Wife and I went out arrowhead hunting this afternoon on the river. I have finally got a chance to really search over a part of the river I had not been on but a few times using some private land access we got recently.
The day started off great, Mrs. Sidmind found the first two.
This one is a very dark purple, you can see it in comparison on frame photo lower in this post., it's the 2nd darkest point we have found so far, definetly not kay county chert.

This is an odd one, although it was found in the river it has no river polish to it, and is very strange, she was very excited, and is bugging me to figure out what kind it is. Plainview is the best guess I can give.

shortly before it got dark I searched a sand bar I normally walk Right by, and found this little beauty, I need to get a photo in natural light tomorrow and post it, this is not the normal chert color that is normally found in this part of Oklahoma, matter of fact I have never even found a scrap flake that is any where close to it. the camera flash doesn't show the true color, it is a very deep dark purple with a hint of brown. and the edges are translucent. the base is straight so I am baffled as to what type it would be for this part of Oklahoma (Osage County Ark. River)

For comparison, here is a quick dirty photo of everything we have found including broken points. You can spot my find today as it's the darkest one in the frame.

The wife also went out a few days ago, Here are a few photos from two days ago when she went out and I sat at the edge of the river bank taking it easy.
Classic Kay County Chert Bird point.

Here is an interesting broken point, I really wish this had been intact.
