Cool man! I may have to leave it for CO2 since I won't be able to do any hunting until the spring when we get this project out the door. Anyway, keep up the cool finds and posts.

Jeeze Onion. You really find that ugly money. I'd like to know more about an earlier post where you mentioned a rock tumbler. What are the specifics?~Co2

Beautiful! I love clad.

I got a rock tumbler from toys R us for 30 bucks to clean all this modern clad so I could get it into the bank.

I put about 60 to 80 coins into the tumbler with vinager and lemon jucie along with some gravel I get from my fish tank.

Let it spin for a couple hours per load.

DON'T mix pennies with anything else all your coins will turn red.

If you have some black sand laying around put some in the mix it will speed up the process.

Now if you want a brillant shin to you coins buy a brass tumbler. They are used to clean and polish rifle brass. Use corn cob media you can a 5 gallon bucket for about 20 dollars and that should last you several years. If you add a little rouge polish it will work faster. I have one I bought two years a go with only a the polish media that was in it, and it was used, and I have not had to replace or clean it. Also I think that it will work better and faster then a rock tumbler but it might be more expensive.

Wow Great haul!!! I thought I was gonna have you beat today but came up short... :-[
I found 6.32 in clad a 1966 half and a sterling chain with a crystal on it. not bad for only searching half of one of the eleven soccer fields by my house. I think the half was used to "flip" to decide
who gets the ball first, because it was right outside the ring in the middle of the field.
I will post pics on thursday or friday when I get my fiance and camera back. ;D

Hey Jimmy,

You doing great! That is a great haul! I have only found three half dollars since I started detecting one of those was a silver 1964 finding them is harder then rings IMO.

I can't wait to see your pics.
