Okay I didnt actually find this buuuutt

If I hadn't told my husband to swing his coil under a bush in a yard we were hunting with permission in he would have never found this absolutely pristine Schenkl fuse from The Battle of Nashville. It has a beautiful green patina all over and the inscription is perfectly readable.

Thanks Bill. We were pretty new to relic hunting so needless to say we were excited. When my husband started reading me what it said I thought he was joking!

Thank you Capt- Zero. I have no idea how a shell fuse would end up so intact like that. I don't know if these fuses were screwed into the projectile on site or not.Anyone know? Bueller?
