I was in NE GA over the holiday and I was digging some DEEP coins. I didn't find anything really old, but the AT PRO was finding some deep stuff. Ground balance is important and make sure you don't leave iron audio on, that will drive you nuts! I do have to discriminate in some of the more trashy parks. Bump up the iron discrimination a bit and notch out some of the stuff between penny and pop tops if you have to. Once you get the hang of it, you can cut back on the discrimination if you want to. Also, forget STD mode. Stick with pro mode. Good luck!

This is totally just me- but that large double D, except for places where there is just no trash, will drive you crazy. The chatter will give you a headache fast! The 5x8 coil or the 6x9 concentric (with only one pinpointer) seems to quiet it down a bit.
