OK, So what is the deepest detector available??

For small metal objects that is easy. The Minelab GP3000 or the new GP3500. It is a pulse induction machine used for gold prospecting. PIs have no discrimintion or as this case very unreliable discrimination. A couple of people use them at the beach where you can dig everything. Generally not used in coin shooting because of lack of discrimination and cost. Cost is $3400 for the GP3500.

PIs? have greater depth than VLFs because they are not affected by ground mineralization as VLFs are. They are the deepest machine at the beach. It will be interesting to see how the new Goldscan 5 with tone ID will stack up to other PIs.

Bill is testing the Goldscan as we speak in AZ for gold prospecting- He should have a
report later this week.
It has not been released yet so Bill is the only who has used it.- belt mounted control box(with probe)- It is just hooked up to a rod with a coil.
A lot of people are looking at this new tone ID PI

Garretts new Infinium LS pulse induction has the tone ID feature on it too, and it's also 96 freq.!

I hear they're killer once you get use to it, and guys are claiming 18 to 20 inches on rings/coins!

I was thinking of getting one myself,
