Dunno if the handle got bent, or if it was designed that way. :icon_scratch:

Thanks ahead of time!

Thanks folks! But, this thing could very well be designed in a circle. It is a solid piece of steel! I mean it's thick! Very hard to bend. Also, the edge on this thing looks very much like a chisel! It's still fairly sharp!

It doesn't appear to have been hit by a lawnmower. :dontknow:

Ever been in an IKEA? Mama whant to go there about every six weeks... That thing could be from a number of things they sell there. Some kind of utensils is my guess

Well, first of all, no, I've never been in an IKEA. :) It could be any one of a number of utensils they make. I just can't figure what. LOL

I think Jeff may have an idea though. Since this was found near a sports field. I can just see somebody taking a solid steel fork and cutting the times off. Then, sharpening the edge and bending the handle, (which would've taken some HEAVY force, let me tell you!). To maybe use as a spikes cleaning tool?

Doesn't really matter. Just curious.

Looks like someone made a specialty tool out of a fork. To scrape out a deep, narrow opening perhaps.

Ok folks, I've heard enough. I'm satisfied with just about the suggestions. But this special tool, made from a solid fork, for cleaning spikes/cleats sounds the most feasible to me. I'm calling this one solved. Solved enough, anyway! LOL

Thanks for all the help!

So..... are you gonna keep it?.... Or are your friends trying to claim it?

What I want to know is...
Why does it look like copper inside on the broken off part ?

Well, right at the edges of the sharpened end there appears to be some sort of tiny specks
of corrosion. That, and the probability of poor lighting and photography work, are likely giving
that impression.

I took a file to the part of the sharpened end and those spots do go away. It is solid stainless.

Hope that helps a bit. :)
