Ok I know on it's own , this is a piece of scrap. And totally unimpressive. ( I've taken a beating about " junk" on here, so I'm alittle weary of posting my finds... Or paranoid
but I found this thing , which is obviously a little latch to something . It's very heavy for it's size.
I guess my question is sort of , what do you think it could be too. But also , is it worth trying to find more parts to it? The issue is it's right along along my road. It's gonna be alot of avoiding traffic . It's not dangerous , I can hear them coming , but it's gonna be a real pain and embarrassing. I did a map overlay of a early 1800's maps and the road is basically right where it was tben, plus I know tbe historic district at tbe bottom of my road dates back to 1600's- 1700's. well I guess I answered my own question of if it's worth it... Not for the latch , but for anything else it's worth it.
Sorry for the ramble. Any ideas on what I might be looking for that this thing was attached to. Slim chances I'll find it, it looks chewed up by plows or maybe by a hand tool and someone was using to pry it open.
Also anyone have areas around their home that your drooling to detect, but know there is a big fat " no" if you ask... So frustrating .
