It looks like i have my Sidewinder sold so i have a bit of money to work with. So now i need to decide which Gold machine to buy. I have a chance at either a Whites GM/4B, or a Garrett Scorpion that i can afford. Of the 2 i figure the Whites should be a better Gold unit but the Garrett could be used for Gold and still be put to use for coins and jewelry. Which of the 2 is easier to learn, or are they both about the same? Anybody have experience with both? If so, which would you pick for a good gold getter. How does each do in mineral rich ground? Will either one get a match head sized piece of gold at over 3"? Thanks for any and all info and advice.

The Scorpion is a good bang for the buck! Very sensitive to tiny nuggies and hot on jewelry.

Try looking at a Gold Bug II. Read some reviews. There is a wealth of info on here if ya just look for it..
FWB..

I have been reading alot of reports about the White's GoldMaster concerning that they are a real challenge to learn. I would be more inclined to go with a Goldbug 2 or a Goldbug Pro.
