My Manticore has caused me this ever since getting the head unit cover for it, in a short time. I have taken off the head unit cover and tried to remedy it but it keeps doing this, and it is really bad in open sunlight, with any backlight I add to the settings.

Ideas? It must be a temp thing from running the backlight, but in all honesty, it does this in the first hour, and if possible, it gets worse by just sitting in my air conditioned home.

It is surely not genuine to only the Manticore.

Has it ever been left outside over night?

No. In my house, in my hand or my AC conditioned car rides.
Are you sure its oily stuff or just the nature of that plastic making contact with the screen. Iv seen that type of thing before with some screen protectors.
Maybe you could try a bit of a tablet screen protector cut to size as a go between and see what happens.

Not a solid clue, it always happens. I did add in a screen protector today...same thing in the daylight with the backlight on. Messed up!

It still gets oily.

Surely, someone else has seen this..
