Dang, I couldn’t access the original listing for this one... (found guessing that the name is Gavin)

Oddly, in trying to follow the link it seemed to have been listed in the paint by numbers category... does that seem possible?

Just tidying up some blasts from the past (including some very ancient ones), largely for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

Not paint-by-numbers. There are numerous paintings by 'Gavin' being offered on auction and art sites, which mostly seem to be seascapes. However, they vary significantly in style of painting and style of signature. Here’s another, which demonstrates the kind of variation seen:

This almost always means that these are commercial wall-art paintings of the kind usually sold from ‘pop-up’ galleries using rented space in shopping malls and such. The paintings often come from the Far East and the signature will be a pseudonym chosen by the gallery and applied to pictures that may be from multiple artists. There are never any biographical details because the artist ‘Gavin’ doesn’t actually exist.

Nevertheless, typical selling price for these kinds of works (if original paintings rather than canvas-textured prints simulated as paintings) is around $100.
