Oil lamp part

Dug this morning. Fairly sure that it is off of an oil lamp however if anyone has other opinions please feel free to share. Thanks for viewing and have a great day! IMG_0891.jpeg

I have what looks like that very same lamp burner made by MILLER & CO. Mine is on a wall mount lantern that was used in a caboose or coach car lantern that was owed by the Union Pacific RR. The glass chimney on yours would be secured with a set screw so it wouldn't bounce off the burner. This type of burner is unlike the burners typically used in a home which had the prongs that held the chimney to the burner. Your burner may very well have been used by the Railroad.
