Found this in northern Maryland, farm stead, first mapped 1840's, brass, about 7" down. Has detailing so guessing its not farm equipment haha. I was thinking more oil lamp brass. Any help would be awesome. Im sure I'm not gonna find an exact explanation but maybe a similar find or picture from an antique would help me sleep! thanks guys and gals!!
