I found these in a bunch of rocks off of a small stream off of the Ohio river in Kentucky I was up in a little Nook and I seen what looks like someone dumped Flint into a bunch of rocks so I start moving the bigger Stones around and I picked all of these up can someone give me info on these? I got one that looks like some kind of animal is got two little legs on it 20190329_173415.jpg20190329_173415.jpg20190329_173420.jpg20190328_200754.jpg

Do these belong together or where they dumped?

i would assume someone dumped those. Most are field grade/damaged. However I do see a couple of good ones like that drill. Sounds like you were on the river bottom which should be full of artifacts. Some people only take the perfect stuff home and dump all the brokens when they leave in a pile at the edge of a field. Cool finds.

That’s a lot of points are all the ones on the plate from the same trip too ? There’s a really nice one one there can you post a better pic of this one .... I can’t see somebody throwing it back

much to the dismay of my wife, I bring home everything I suspect not to be natural. I clean them up in the barn.

I have buckets of old broken relics. Many plastic bags of relics. Back in the 70s and 80 I recorded every relic, broken or complete. Its nice to review them.

Now I am too busy to do that so I record them but the broken go into a ziplock bags with date and find info written on them, the more complete are recorded, labeled and displayed.

I found a plummet back in the 70s but did not know what I had found. In the 80's I pulled it out of the large ammo box (used to find much MORE back then) and displayed it.

That's odd the drill was with the group if these were all dumped.

My neighbor once told me that her father found a pile of points (200+) back in the 40s while he was deer hunting just beneath the surface by this small creek down in Dinwiddie, Va. Most were broken, but there were a few that were whole points. Makes you wonder if they were dumped or if it was just a knapping site. Keep looking.

It's pretty low laying land, yeah there like sandstoney river rocks and then some churt looking rocks, and all of these dumped along the ground. That's why I didn't know if someone just stoped collecting, went out to a deserted kind of area and just poured them. I am goimg back today so I will take site pictures and all of those on the plate was there the ones on the counter were the good ones I pulled out of the pieces

The little bitty weird shape one would they use that to chip away at the arrowheads? It's got like a flat finger spot on the side

Theres alot of piles of rocks just around, I haven't dug there any I am probably taking my detector back soon!

That’s awesome. I once found a bunch of stuff ripped up by a fallen tree on a large rock outcrop. While there were burials in the area, this seemed more like a stash spot to me, your pics remind me of that spot.
