Here's some Ohio gold, sniped from a gravel pit.

There is color in most streams that flow through the glacial gravel, but not in paying quantities.

There was some placer mining in Richland county over 100 yrs ago, gold rich seams of black sand were found in the glacial till.

what part of Ohio?
In ohio you need to think of it as a hobby. you will not get rich at it but have great fun while doing it.
What kind of prospecting are you looking to do? Dredging? Highbanking? Sniping? ect.

Gold Maven" That is a pretty good haul for sniping .. Sure shows the gold is where you find it.
