Now's your chance to learn about 'hallmarks's

Since the ring is so gaudy, I can just imagine it's costume.

Nice find though!

I have found a gold ring just on the ground before. sold it for 200 bones.

And you found it with no detector?

Don't you have a jewrly store or pawn shop in town? Let them check it out if you think it could be real.

Fantastic, not in a million years could I have done that, I'm not sure if it's real thats a lot of stones, but hey that's pretty good !

Sorry Dimes, I don't mean to disrespect you, but I would suspect it is fake due to the "flashiness" of it, (I mean, it looks like it comes out of a .25cent machine in a mall)
I do wish you the best for it though! If it's real, start ordering them half boxes!!

good find, real or not, i have my doubts though, like others said above, it is gaudy, but you never know! get it checked out by an expert, many will give free examinations.

Always have them checked out! always.......................HH

Looks to fancy for a ring. Take your loupe and check to see if the "diamonds" are nicely cut or rough and edged

No need for such a disclaimer. Your opinion is valid - just state it.

On to the ring: If you aren't familiar with hallmarks or you don't own a loupe, I am sure you have access to a magnet.
See if the ring is attracted to a strong magnet at all. If there is no attraction, then it MIGHT be a precious metal. From here, I would try to get a magnification device and look to see if it is marked anywhere with a hallmark. Post what you find and we will tell you what you have got.
