Hi; Yup,It is 1798 in FAIR Grade at best. Sad but a great find none the less especially given your local where it was found. Great Job. PEACE:RONB

Nice LC :icon_thumright: - Why do you think heart is solid gold? - solid gold is super soft and they would not usually use
for a piece of jewelry like that - solid gold does not discolor what so ever either

That is a photo with the dirt still on it , when I cleaned it was no tarnish
 

1700s..... Great find man, I can't break out the 1800s maybe someday I'll get a invite to go out east and hunt

Willie, that draped bust has more detail than any that we have found here in Massachusetts. So congrats. It's a great find. Love the gold heart too, very unique. -Lisa & John

Excellent 1700's draped bust cent. I think you got into the club the difficult way - with a US coin. Personally I've dig more 1700's Spanish silver than large cents. Congrats!

I have a few kg II and iii and 1 Spanish 1/2 reale 1789 but yes that is the hard way American looking for the silver American now
