Hey all you Placerville and general area folks be careful out there as today the USGS water flow data for the general area has jumped from 5000cfs up to nearly 12,000cfs!! All streams and rivers should be very dangerous!! Oh and FYI cfs = cubic feet per second
Those types of numbers mean there are some serious changes going on along all rivers and streams meaning, trees, boulders, dirt and anything in the dirt is being ripped out and moved. Can someone get pictures of the color of the water and possibly of trees down or nearly down?? Also pictures of the Clementine Dam out back of Auburn on the North Fork of the American River on the input side where they catch "DEBRIS" should show trees and very muddy water. The pictures should then go to the Dredge hearings to show those who do not understand what the natural conditions are like versus what little turbidity is created by suction dredging. I'm only a little excited about this jump in water levels as we all know what it means!! Also if further snow levels are low it will help the start of our season come a bit early.
Also, at the dredge meetings - at the moment the talks are centered around THEIR arguments. Should we be answering their questions or do we have something else to present. For example Obama wanted the NRA to come to the Gun Control meetings to discuss Gun Control. The NRA declined as they considered the REAL issue to be something else. See what I mean about the Dredge meeting issues to be discussed? What evidence and issues do we have to present as right now it is a very one sided meeting agenda or am I all wet??
However, BE VERY CAREFUL OUT THERE AS THE STREAM/RIVER BANKS COULD BE UNDERMINED AND WEAK. Stepping on them could make them collapse and if you go in the drink expect your body to be found around mid summer.

Just thought of another spot on the North Fork, there are two road bridge crossings out back of Colfax, nice asphalt roads. If someone could go there and take pictures or videos there and supply them to the DFG hearings that would be great!
