A four hour detecting hunt today has me hurting all over! But it was worth all the pain.

9 more silvers today! 2 Rosies, 3 Mercs and 4 Barbers!! Along with those were 17 more wheats, two Indians, V nickle, '48 Nickle, a fired 45 cal lead bullet (I'm starting to wonder what happened here!), what looks like a lead seal (or at least a lead slug), and what may or may not be a tiny gold ring. My first thought was that is was plated, but considering how crappy most of the silver and copper has come out, this could actually be low karat gold. I have dug a 9K ring from the ocean that looked similar.

Some cleaning revealed 3 small rubies or garnets mounted in it, but they don't all show up well in the pic.

Fantastic... I can see how 4 hours would fly by when you're digging those targets!

I hear ya man! My neck and right shoulder are stiff and sore after I went out today! NICE group of silver dimes! (Take a HOT bath like I did =)!)

We would love some of that Sweet Hurting Chug

Dude, you are definitely taking me hunting next time I'm up there! You need to Yoda my e-trac skills!

Gotta love days like you had.

Kinda funny. Someone had asked me how I'd lost so much weight in the last year. (I started back to hunting about then)

I told them it was easy. They asked me to share my secret plan.

I told them, sure. Stand with everything balanced. They did. Then I told them to bend down on one knee. They did that too. Now, I told them, stand back up. Which they, of course did. Then I told them now do that about 1,000 times more each day. :) LOL

I sympathize and empathize. It's a LOT more work than most realize!

Great finds!

HH!

Great finds Jason- whats that old saying, 'no pain- no gain'. You might want to consider doing some stretching before the next hunt. haha HH yelnif...

I always slam a couple ibuprofen's to ease the future pain. Nice digs by the way you recovered a lot of keepers

Thats good stuff!! My wife was laughing at my 44 year old body being sore from a "day spent in the park"... first time out metal detecting with the new xterra after the long winter

Oh yeah, brother! :)

I know the felling...I got up early this morning to go do some detecting before work but my aching back has other ideas..

Wow! What a great hunt. I'd take the pain all day long to score finds like you have there! Beautiful oldies dude. Great digs!!!

Great score for the X-Terra team! Still needing a hunt like that with my E-Trac!

P.S. Noticed you had the remains of a beetle pin there so thought you might enjoy pics of one that I found. Attached them.

I've hunted for that long with little to show for it. That's a fine haul for 4 hours of work and well worth the pain (no pain no gain :tongue3:)!

X-Terra? I don't use an X-Terra. I'm not sure what "beetle pin" you were looking at in my pic. I think what you are referring to was the remains of a fired 45 cal bullet which obviously struck something very hard which sheared away almost half the bullet.

I feel ya brother, just ended a 4 1/2 hunt...im dyin.. had back surgey in Jan. Trying to get back to my normal 6 hour. But also found some nice stuff, not quite a day like yours but congratulations on a awesome hunt..
