Oh god... This isn't a Human bone is it?

I was digging a trash dump yesterday and this popped out. It's probably atleast a pound, and is 16 inches long and about 3 inches wide. Please tell me this isn't a human bone because I don't want to have to get shutdown by the cops. But I also don't want to find the skull :BangHead:

A three inch wide bone! That must of been one bad dude.

It's 3 inches at the ends but skinnier in the middle. Sure?

The femur bone is the largest bone in the body. Best toss it to the dog.

I use to work in a butchers shop and that looks like a beef tibia to me. Better foto's of the ends would help.

Thank you to everyone's help. Glad it wasn't a 75 year old murder case.

Looks to be non-human. However, bazillions of human beings have lived and died on this planet throughout history, it's amazing that more bones aren't accidentally stumbled upon.

critical recovery a humerous is your upper arm bone,
femur to a adult would be much longer in apperance if that wide
