Today was a cold wet muddy day that I wasn't even going to go out, but this morning after seeing everyone's 1st posts of 2017 I just had to get out. I went to a place I haven't been to in a while but every time I go I usually get one or 2 wheats. I worked a front section along the road that I've never done for some reason. 5 minutes in I had my 1st wheat of the year. 4 more wheats later I pulled my 1st 2017 silver, a 64 roosie!, kept working back and forth, side to side and pulled 2 more wheats and then silver #2 a 1944 Canadian dime! Ended up with 12 wheats and 2 silver coins along with 3 clad coins. What a great 2017 start, hoping for much more of the same! Thanks for looking and hh! 20170102_091355_36110.jpg20170102_095140.jpg20170102_105801.jpg20170102_104733.jpg2017-01-02 11.03.56-1.jpg

Sweet first hunt!! You barely made it with the 64 but, killed it with that 44 Canadian dime. I've only ever dug one Canadian silver, would love to find more.
That's a nice pile of wheats too. Congrats on a Great first hunt for the new year.

Congrats!

So, can we assume that the Cjon-ster is back in 2017? ;)

Great start to the new year!

Nice start Chris!

Congrats on the wheat harvest and the 1st 2 silvers of the season Chris. The ground is going to freeze soon, glad you took advantage of the mild weather. I hunted both yesterday and today, back to work tomorrow.

I like that canuk coin looks like my avatar. Congrats

grats on getting on the board! my second silver ever was one of those canadian dimes that had been mangled by a mower.

Treblehunter. That's awesome man. I'm from New Jersey. Grew up in Salem county. Pennsville to be exact, great little town a while back. Awesome digging and shore hunting back in the good ol' dirty jersey. Best places I've ever dug have been downtown historic bordentown (near the boat ramps) and in Salem. Almost anywhere near an original bridge too.
